When asked which performances he treasures most, Costner revealed that Billy Chapel from For Love of the Game (1999) and Charlie Waite from Open Range (2003) are the two roles closest to his heart.

Costner said,”I’ve had the pleasure of playing in some movies that people continue to talk about,” Costner said. “But, if I had to boil it down, I really liked playing Billy Chapel in For Love of the Game, and I loved playing Charlie in Open Range.”
